In need of in-person care?

Most of the time, Bummed is enough, but there may be times when you need some trained human eyeballs to look at your butt to see what’s going on. Pain, bleeding, burning, and itching are common symptoms of hemorrhoids and anal fissures, but when these symptoms persist for more than a week, with or without our medication, then it’s time to call in back-up.

Here’s when to see a provider in-person:

  • – Anal or rectal pain that doesn’t go away or recurs
  • – Rectal bleeding that doesn’t stop or recurs
  • – Itching that doesn’t stop or recurs

If you have these symptoms, find a qualified colorectal surgeon at the directory below,
Or check out our list of Bummed-verified anorectal specialists (proctologists), coming soon.
